Meet Little Miss Harper | Plainfield IL Lifestyle Photographer

This little doll and parents were the first family I had the pleasure of photographing at the Eaton Preserve in Plainfield.  This rustic barn is a VERY popular location for photographers… especially on the weekends!

Brook and Matt recently moved to the area and they were the nicest couple.  I can’t wait to see them again this weekend for their mini-session!  (Christmas Cards… oh how can the holidays be this close already?!)  I can’t imagine how much Harper has grown in the last few months, I can’t wait to see her!

I’m obviously WAY catching up tonight since we took these photos on one of the hottest days of the summer… and now we are chasing down the last of the autumn colors this fall and dodging rain.  Better late than never, right?!

Happy 1st Birthday Naomi! | Plainfield IL Family Photography

Naomi is cousins with Kaeli and Emilie, from a session earlier this spring.  Cuteness runs in this family.  I wish I could take the credit, but it’s obvious it’s in there genes, they obviously have gorgeous moms!  Kim and Pam are sisters who’s voices sound so similar I could not tell them apart on the phone, lol.  I had to laugh because no one can tell me and my youngest sister apart on the phone.

I love the barns at Eaton Preserve so much that I couldn’t wait to get over there again for any reason… and celebrating Naomi’s 1st birthday was the perfect occasion!

Happy Birthday Miss Naomi!  It was such a pleasure to meet you and celebrate your birthday with you!

The Williams Family | Plainfield IL Family Photographer

I can’t say enough things about Donna… she is truly one of the nicest people I have ever met.  So thoughtful, so considerate, so way super kind!  It was such an honor to capture her beautiful family this fall.  I was introduced to her by a friend of a previous client/friend.  Their family is new to the area, and it was so nice to be referred to them through friends in common.  Referrals are truly the heart of my business, and I don’t take a single one for granted.

The Williams family will be on my radar for a long time to come.  I look forward to keeping in touch with them and enjoying having them in the area.  I’m sure this not the last time our paths will cross!

Marilyn’s 80th birthday! | Itasca, IL Family Photography

My cousin Deb asked me to photograph her mother’s 80th birthday party this year… don’t ask me how many times “removed” I was to all of these amazing people (cause no matter how many times she explains it, I still don’t think I’ll ever understand…) it was an amazing day!  Eliza, Nathalie, and Jason came with me.  Eliza was still such a little itty bitty thing back then…  and Jason spent all of his time snacking and playing in the sprinkler and wading pool they had set up for the kids!  Thankfully Nathalie was there to keep tabs on the little ones while I snapped away.  My Aunt Bubbles (yes… Aunt Bubbles….) helped with Eliza a ton too!

The Harrison Family | Plainfield IL Custom Family Photographer

Christine is a nurse at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.  She was the winner of the gift certificate that I donated for Nurses Week at the hospital.

I met with her and her blended family at one of my favorite locations this summer, and they had me in stitches the whole time.

The “frog face” was pretty infamous… and this family was up for pretty much anything I threw at them!
